Two tables carry the food story at Shanghai · DECO, and both are better than the “airport hotel” stereotype suggests. Downstairs, a 200-seat Chinese restaurant serves Shanghai fusion cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Across the lobby, a 300-square-metre coffee house brews in the Melbourne manner. Between the two of them, guests rarely need to order delivery — though the food-delivery robots will happily bring your room service anyway.
Hai Shang Bo Yue — the Shanghai fusion kitchen
海上铂悦餐厅 (Hai Shang Bo Yue) is the hotel’s main restaurant: two hundred seats, a modern deco dining room, and a menu that treats Shanghai cuisine as a conversation between old and new. The kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner — à la carte and buffet formats — with vegetarian options marked throughout. Dinner after a late landing is calm, warm and quick; the evening service has been complimented by name in guest reviews more than once.

Breakfast from 5:30 am — the early-flyer’s friend
The buffet opens at 5:30 am and runs to 9:30 — a schedule built around the first departure bank at Pudong. The spread is Western and Chinese at once: congee and dim sum beside eggs, pastries and fruit, with proper coffee from the Bonza bar. CNY 48 per adult; children under 1.2 m eat free. If your flight leaves at six, you can still eat a real breakfast — that is the point.
Bonza Melb. Coffee — 300 m² of Melbourne
The hotel’s second act is a coffee house the size of a small gallery. Bonza Melb. Coffee pours premium Melbourne-style coffee — flat whites that would survive a Fitzroy inspection — alongside teas and light bites, in a deco lounge that doubles as the hotel’s coworking corner. Jet lag, meet your match.
